*Classes are held Monday-Thursday, rain or shine. Classes will only be canceled for severe weather. Classes canceled due to severe weather will be made up on the 2nd Friday of the session. Any other missed classes due to the pool closing for thunder or other unforeseen circumstances will be refunded.

*Please note our lessons are very popular. If you sign up for a class and decide it is not for you, please let us know so we can fill your spot with someone on the waitlist.

*If a class has fewer than 3 participants enrolled you will be notified no earlier than the Friday before your class begins and the office will help to reschedule your lesson.

On the first day of your swim lessons, please meet at the fence by the main office at VMP to meet your swim instructor!

GENERAL REFUND POLICY:

Many programs are very popular and fill quickly, so quickly that we often have waiting lists for them. All requests for cancellations, refunds, or transfers must be made in writing via email to rec@southwindsor-ct.gov or in-person in our office located at the Parks and Recreation Facility. In order to allow us time to process your request and fill spots from the waitlist, all requests must be received by 4:30 pm on the Wednesday of the week prior to the start of the session. All refund requests are considered on a case-by-case basis and subject to the discretion of the Parks and Recreation Department, and as such, full and/or pro-rated refunds are not guaranteed.



WAIT LIST POLICY:

Parks and Recreation allows participants to add themselves to the waitlist of certain programs if they are closed or full. If a spot opens in the program, the participant in the first position on the waitlist will be sent an email notifying them of the opportunity to register. The participant must register using the link provided in the email within 24 hours of notification or they will forfeit their placement on the waitlist. A follow up phone call will be made prior to moving to the next participant as a reminder. The space will continue to be offered to the next participant on the waitlist until filled. If any participant has special accommodation requests or information helpful to the instructor, please contact the parks and recreation department at rec@southwindsor-ct.gov two weeks prior to the start of the program.
