Monday Night Social Club - Inclusion Recreation Leader

Our Monday Night Social Club is looking for a new friend to lead the program!

The Monday Night Social Club (MNSC) is a social club for middle school students, high school students, young adults and adults with physical, sensory or other disabilities where they can meet new friends and participate in various activities through-out the year. MNSC meets every Monday, excluding Town observed holidays, from 6:00pm-8:30pm. This position includes planning/office time, offsite trips and program time.   

The Inclusion Recreation Leader position is offered $18-$20 per hour, based on experience. Must be a minimum age of 18 years old.

Summer Camp Seasonal Employment

Summer time is coming up quickly and we are looking to fill our seasonal staff roster with new camp counselors for the 2025 season! South Windsor Parks and Recreation is seeking  enthusiastic, team-oriented individuals who are creative and excited to foster new experiences for the youth in our community!
 
Summer Camp, Counselor (16+) - CLICK FOR JOB DESCRIPTION
 
Seasonal opportunity: June through August, approximately 40 hours per week 

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Camp Director, the Summer Camp Counselor is responsible for the direct supervision and safety of all Campers.  This position is responsible for assisting the Site Supervisors in all phases of successful safe operation and total administration of the camp program.

Know How: The Summer Camp Counselor should be a motivated, team player, with good communication skills, and express a willingness to work with children.  The Counselor should be flexible, demonstrate an ability to lead organized activities, has an understanding of child development and day camping.  Must have previous experience working with youth and leading activities.  The Counselor should be currently enrolled in high school or college, and/or have graduated from college.  The individual must have current BLS CPR and first aid certification.

Veteran's Memorial Park - Seasonal Employment

Lifeguards (Age 15+)
We are seeking skilled, reliable, and enthusiastic lifeguards who take pride in their ability to maintain a safe, enjoyable atmosphere for swimmers of all ages and skill levels. Lifeguards will be responsible for supervising pool activities, enforcing safety rules and regulations, and being prepared to respond swiftly and effectively to any emergencies or incidents that may arise. Your dedication will help create a secure environment where families and individuals can enjoy their time at the pool, knowing they are in capable hands. Whether you're ensuring swimmers' safety or offering guidance to guests, you'll be making a significant impact while delivering top-notch service to the community. This position offers an excellent chance for individuals who are passionate about water safety and enjoy working in a dynamic and engaging environment
 
Water Safety Instructors (Age 16+)
The Water Safety Instructor is responsible for instructing various levels the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Program, and ensuring the safety of their students. While on the job, a Water Safety Instructor should step in and help lifeguards as needed if individual is also lifeguard certified. 
 
Maintainers (Age 18+)
The maintainer is responsible for the up-keeping of the grounds, pool, and facilities at Veteran’s Memorial Park.  An employee in this position has some potential for occupational exposure to human blood or other potentially infectious materials as a result of performance of the employee’s duties.
