Splash Pad Rules and Regulations


The Splash pad is designed for the community’s enjoyment. For your safety, we ask you to comply with the following:
1. To start, press the activator button as the water will automatically turn off after a set time.
2. All children under the age of 14 must be supervised by an adult.
3. There are no Lifeguards on duty, please use at your own risk.
4. Children who are not toilet trained must wear swim diapers.
5. Proper swim attire is required.
6. Trash, dirt, grass, mulch, etc. will clog the system and potentially cause closure so please keep the area clean.
7. The Splash pad seating and shade areas are available for general use. Reservations are not available.
8. Splash pad may be closed at any time due to weather, maintenance or other operational concerns.
9. At the first sign of thunder or lighting, vacate the splash pad and seek a fully enclosed shelter. Please do not return to the splashpad until at least 30 minutes after the last sign of severe weather.
10. The following activities and items are not permitted in the splash pad area:
- Climbing or hanging on the splash pad features
- Drinking splash pad water
- Running and rough play
- Inflatable pool toys, athletic and other recreational equipment.
- Skateboards, bicycles, scooters, rollerblade and other similar equipment.
- Food, candy, gum, beverages, and glass containers.
- Soaps, detergents and shampoos.
- Animals, except service animals.
- Smoking
11. We are not liable for lost or stolen items.
12. No buses or large vehicles are permitted to drop off or pick up individuals at the Splash Pad or the surrounding park areas.
13. The South Windsor Parks and Recreation department is not liable for any personal injury to any person resulting in use of the splash pad.
14. Organized groups larger than 10 individuals (including children and chaperones) are not permitted at the Splash Pad. For our Group/Field Trip Policy click HERE.
15. Incase of an emergency, please call 911.
