The Commission works to develop new projects as we keep four important goals in mind:

• Enriching the quality of life for Town residents
• Contributing to individual personal development
• Making the community a more attractive place to live
• Strengthening neighborhood and community ties

The Park and Recreation Commission is an appointed body of ten regular members and two alternates. The Commission advises the Town Council on the active and passive recreational needs for the Town. Regular meetings are held at the South Windsor Town Hall in the Council Chambers at 7:30 pm on the second Wednesday of every month. We welcome your participation.

The Town of South Windsor Park and Recreation Commission in conjunction with the Parks & Recreation Department developed the 2020 Master Plan to create a current vision of South Windsor’s park system and recreation programs and services. We would like to extend special thanks to all of the South Windsor residents and organizations, the Mayor and Town Council, Park and Recreation Commissioners, and Town staff who participated in the Plan’s development.
